I bought a set of the T1R's for my Honda S2000. They are very good tires for spirited drives on winding backroads to the coast. Quiet. Very grippy, and tremendous on wet roads. They also squeal a little on hard turns to let you know how hard you can push before a spin. Treadwear is 280 so they should last a long time. Only drawback is that I thought they would also work well at autocross events. Unfortunately the sidewalls are too soft and roll-over on hard turns so I have to inflate which reduces traction.
All in all a great street that I'll keep on my S for daily driving. If you're looking for a daily driver that also works for autocross you might look at the Dunlop Star Spec or the new Bridgstone RE-11. My 2 cents. |
